got me thinking

i was in class today and my teacher was giving a lecture about how it’s a shame we were born with two hemispheres of the brain, yet we tend to use mostly one side. It got me thinking…

If one side of our brain is dedicated to logistics and the other is dedicated to aesthetics and emotions, what kind of life would we lead if we didn’t cater to both hemispheres of our brain? It’s nice to come across people who are in touch with their emotions and have a great deal for empathy with others, but at the same time it makes you feel like they throw a bit of logic out the window and let their hearts decide for them…which is not always bad, but it’s not exactly always the smartest move. But then again, you have the logical thinkers who make a shitload of sense, but it just seems like when it comes to intimate relationships with other people, their logic gets in the way of a potentially amazing connection. I guess what i’m trying to say is that it’s unfortunate that each human has the capacity to be great, but we’re all so caught up in our own bullshit that we only use one half of our brain at a time. That or each side of the brain battle it out until we come up with a decision instead of a compromise.

yanno the brain is one of the biggest erogenous zones? just sayin ;]
